This is an unusual but interesting presentation on Hardy's famous taxi number. There is a brief introductory slide on Hardys invitation to Ramanujan to come to England.
The idea is then for the students to discover the famous number on the taxi that Hardy took on his visit to see him in hospital. A table of cubes is provided if needed. There follows work on the unusual properties of 153, discussed in Hardys famous essay "A mathematicians Apology". Worksheet are included.
