The same presentation as in Angles 9a. Alternate angles between parallels needed as a pre-requisite. Takes a detailed look at how Eratosthenes was able to determine the circumference of the Earth using a stick and its shadow. A thorough explanation of Latitude and Longitude is given to help with understing things properly. A really interesting presentation with lots of historical background included. It works well with class participation. Choose one student to play Eratosthenes and give him the stick. Choose another for the WELL at Syene to tell the class when the sun is overhead.
