BONFIRE NIGHT NUMBER CHAOS.
It’s bright and colourful, it’s loud and noisy, it’s downright dangerous, it’s Bonfire Night Number Chaos. Could it be more fun than the actual night itself?
Remember remember the 5th of November, Gunpowder. Treason and Plot,
I see no reason why Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot."
So begins this fun and enjoyable presentation with full sound effects, animation, nice graphics, a Guy Fawkes story and a worksheet.
Part 1: The FIREWORK DISPLAY
We start off with the spectacular (and very noisy) FIREWORK DISPLAY. Answer the questions and watch the exploding number stars, whistling rockets and bangers whiz around just above your head. A finale slide shows the full display again from scratch without the need to answer the questions.
Part 2: The GUNPOWDER PLOT
The presentation now moves on to the GUN POWDER PLOT of 1605 and we consider “what might have been”. Answers to the questions trigger the exploding barrels beneath the Houses of Parliament until it finally comes crashing down. You might actually enjoy this part more than the kids. You could regard it as a nice therapeutic way to release stress at the end of a hectic day or when you get irritated by the latest Government initiative. Again a full replay without the need to do the maths is included.
Part 3: The BONFIRE
We conclude with the annual celebratory ritual of the BONFIRE scene itself. You are one the crowed standing in front of the warming fire on this cool November evening as bursting stars, rockets and crackers light up the night sky for miles around.
You can re-run the scene again in fast motion and listen to the applause from the crowd (class). And finally a slide that gives a little history on the story of Guy Fawkes and the plotters.
This is an editable presentation with 46 slides, 36 questions in 3 blocks of 12. The 12 colour interactive buttons allow either teacher or student access. Slide 46 is a printable worksheet containing all 36 questions. As on the Halloween presentation you should regard it as 5 or 6 for the price of one as you can tailor it to the needs of each of your classes. This makes it suitable for both primary and secondary school. PowerPoint XP is required as a minimum.
The best Bonfire Night that you’ll ever have. Great fun for all!
