Polyiamonds

Investigation PowerPoint Presentation

Polyiamonds

Main ideas are to be able to construct polyiamonds on triangular spotty paper, understand that shapes with the same area can have different perimeters, and discuss line/rotational symmetry. The polyiamonds have been used as an alternate to the polyominoes as these are covered extensively in the enrichment area.
The hexiamonds and some of their properties are displayed at slides 7 - 11
Spotty paper is at slide 12.
