This is a functional maths presentation taking a look at mortgages. Repayment/Interest Only mortgages are explained from first principles with reference to supplied tables. Lots of questions then follow from a variety of table data looking at loans over differing periods with varied interest rates. We conclude by looking at three couples with varying incomes/deposits who apply for a mortgage. Students have to work out who will get what loan etc from the information supplied. Students will come away with a good understanding of how a mortgage works after this. Contains 20 questions and all teacher Q + A sheets/worksheets supplied.
