Enrichment Powerpoint Presentation

 |
Takes students in gradual steps through the birthday problem. Pigeon hole principle and factorial notation are explained as we arrive at the conclusion that a group of 23 people ensures that it is more likely then not that 2 of them will have a birthday on the same day. Opportunity to use spreadsheets. This works well after the "Tower of Hanoi" where extensive use is made of factorial notation towards the end.
