This is a math or maths PowerPoint presentation on PLACE VALUE. We start off by grouping a set of objects into hundreds, tens and units. A good selection of examples then follow using 100 blocks, 10 blocks and unit blocks. A worksheet is included for some of these.We then move on to the animated abacus. The rings drop on to the pegs accompanied by nice sound effects. There are lots of abacus problems for the children to do and a printable worksheet is included. After this we move on to ordering 3 digit numbers and again there is a worksheet for this. This is a first class presentation on introducing place value that you and your children will love.
