This is very good presentation on congruent triangles. It starts off by reminding students about congruent shapes generally. A short historical note discusses the four congruent theorems proven by Euclid in book I of his Elements and stresses the important part that they played in proving other theorems such as the Theorem of Pythagoras and the Chord Bisector Theorem. The four conditions that guarantee congruency for triangles are clearly explained and sets of questions follow to re-enforce and test understanding. We then go on to look at six proofs that enlist the use of congruent triangles. They have been carefully chosen so that each of SSS, SAS, AAS and RHS plays a part.
