Binomial Expansion Maths PowerPoint Presentation.
We start by expanding the first few terms of (a + b)^n and relate these to the rows in Pascal’s Triangle. The Triangle is used to write down the term coefficients of larger values of n (including expansion of (a + x)^n). We introduce factorial notation and develop a method of writing down the coefficients of any term in (a + b)^n.. Finally we are in a position to express the general binomial expansion in terms of nCr. We also evaluate 49C6 as the odds of winning the National Lottery Jackpot. There is a printable student question sheet towards the back (all answers supplied).
